Over the years we have had customers tell us that their electric fence charger was not working properly and that they need a warranty replacement or repair, whatever the scenario happened to be. Sometimes this was the case, but many other times there were other problems with the fence rather than with the electric fence charger.
The challenge for us was always to convince the person who built the fence (our customer) that the problem lay not in the electric fence charger that he bought but in the fact that he had improperly installed a part or his entire fence which led to the circumstances that he was in. Poor Grounding
It just doesn’t work to skimp on ground rods. Depending on the size of the fence and the soil conditions you may need up to three 8′ ground rods. If you don’t have a properly grounded fence you may as well throw away the energizer too! It’s both or none!

The benefits of bi-polar operation:
Animals will receive a warning shock of up to 5 kV if it touches one wire, and up to10 kV if it becomes more aggressive and touches two wires.
